Mississippi State offense back on track after 45-14 win over Bowling Green

The Mississippi State offense was back on its ‘A’ game Saturday in a 45-14 win over Bowling Green.

It all starts under center with junior quarterback Will Rogers who threw for over 400 yards and a season-high six touchdown passes while completing 78 percent of his throws.

Rogers is now first in the entire country with 16 touchdowns and second with almost 1,400 yards. His 214 yards in a week three loss at LSU is his lowest passing total since 2020, but it was a more complete team effort in week four according to Head Coach Mike Leach. “Thought he improved. I thought he improved. But I thought the guys around him improved too, and that’s one thing tough with quarterback because what they do is they elevate the guys around them, and the better those guys play the better the quarterback looks, so it all goes kind of hand in hand.”

Next up for the Bulldogs is Texas A&M at 3 p.m. Saturday in Starkville. Their first SEC home game of the season.
