Mississippi State MBB star Josh Hubbard wins the Howell trophy

On Monday it was announced that Mississippi State freshman Josh Hubbard is the winner of the Howell trophy – presented by MBCI and Pearl River Resort.

The annual award goes to the most outstanding men’s college basketball player in the state of Mississippi.

Hubbard led the Bulldogs in scoring with 16.8 points per game, including a season-high 34 points against Kentucky, and was named SEC Freshman of the Week five different times.
