Mississippi State Guard selected No. 8 overall in WNBA Draft
After leading Mississippi State to back-to-back national title games, there wasn’t much left for Victoria Vivians to accomplish in the college ranks. As a result, she was invited to the WNBA Draft in New York City.
Tonight, the Queen didn’t have to wait very long to hear her name called with the eighth overall pick by the Indiana Fever. The graduating senior guard is the sixth-ever Bulldog to be selected in the draft and the fourth in the first round.
This season, one of the best to ever don the maroon and white led MSU to its best regular season in program history with a perfect record of 30-0.
Vivians leaves a Magnolia State legacy as the only player in history to win the Gillom Trophy four times.
