Mississippi State Department of Health reports 1,746 new COVID-19 cases and 18 new deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 1,746 new COVID-19 cases and 18 new deaths across the state Wednesday.

The statewide total stands at 147,382 confirmed cases and 3,763 deaths.

Here’s a look at the numbers in our area:

• Hancock County has 1,176 cases and now 39 deaths
• Harrison County is now at 6,982 cases and now 110 deaths
• Jackson County has 6,218 cases and 119 deaths
• Stone County has 752 cases and 14 deaths
• George County has 1,235 cases and 24 deaths
• Pearl River County has 1,494 cases and 67 deaths
