Mississippi Songwriters Festival kicks off at the Mary C. on Thursday

The Mississippi Songwriters Festival is kicking off Thursday, September 19th!

There will be over 125 songwriters in over 11 venues from Ocean Springs to Gautier. Organizers have been hard at work planning for this year’s festival to include:

Thursday Night – Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Mary C. This year’s inductees are: Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon and Glen Ballard. Special performance by Chapel Hart and emceed by Walt Grayson. Kickoff Party to follow at Neon Moon.

*Thursday night Hall of Fame show is a ticketed event free to the public. However, due to limited seating, you must have a ticket to get in. Doors open to the public at 6:30. No tickets will be available at the door. Go to:   https://mississippisongwritersfestival.ticketspice.com/hof-ceremony

Friday – Performances by our songwriters in over 11 venues & showcase event at The Mary C with Chapel Hart. Guest Norwegian songwriters at Fort Maurepas on Front Beach in Ocean Springs.

Saturday – Workshops, Youth Showcase, Reggie Bates Scholarship Program and show at The Mary C featuring: Tony Mullins, Jim McCormick and Peyton Aldridge. Performances by our songwriters in over 11 venues.

Sunday – Devotional, Gospel Showcase and Grand finale at The Mary C
