Mississippi Senator Arrested for Assault

The Olive Branch Police Chief says Mississippi State Senator Chris Massey has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after a fight in a subdivision.
Chief Don Gammage tells the Associated Press that Massey is accused of hurting another person with some sort of a weapon, not a gun.
Gammage says police responded to a call before 11 a.m. Thursday and arrested Massey, the senator’s father and two other men.
A judge set a $10,000 bond for the 44-year-old Republican from Nesbit.
