Mississippi school district grades are in for 2017
State wide “Excellence for All” school gradings are in for the 2017 school year. Coast school districts fared well.
Ocean Springs was the highest rated school district on the Coast, joined by Long Beach and Biloxi with a grade of “A.”
Gulfport, as well as Harrison, Jackson, Stone and Hancock counties, Pass Christian, Bay/Waveland and Pascagoula/Gautier school districts all graded out as “B” school districts.
In the state capital, Jackson School District was given an “F” for the second consecutive grading period and could be subject to a state takeover.
