Mississippi reporting an additional 905 cases of COVID-19 and 36 deaths as of Tuesday morning
(WXXV) — The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting an additional 905 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 36 deaths.
Nineteen deaths occurred between November 10 and November 16, and 17 occurred between September 23 and November 11, identified from death certificate reports.
Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 135,803, with 3,581 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 10 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and 7 deaths. There are currently 154 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
More than 116,00 people are presumed to have recovered from COVID-19 in Mississippi as of Sunday.
