Mississippi Renaissance Festival at Harrison County Fairgrounds
Fairy tales are coming to life at the Harrison County Fairgrounds.
The Mississippi Renaissance Festival is an opportunity for people to explore ‘the year of our great Lord 1306.’
Festival goers had the chance to travel through time and culture by going through four areas that represented Scotland, England, Norway, and Pirate Alley.
The festival began today and will be going on throughout the rest of the weekend.
Dungeon Mistress Ester Outlaw tells News 25 why she enjoys being a part of the festivities. “Because it is fun, it’s interesting. It’s educational. It’s so much fun. The people are awesome and the people that come to learn and just to have fun is interesting. It’s so much fun.”
If you missed out on today’s event, the festival will be open Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children.
