Mississippi Regional Housing Board VIII set to host health fair

Mississippi Regional Housing Authority VIII is gearing up to host a free community health fair at the Orange Grove Community Center next week.

More than 40 vendors will be set up, passing out information and offering free screenings, COVID testing, vaccines, and STD testing.

Guests will be also be able to get free haircuts and manicures on the spot.

A small lunch will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Mikite Williams with Mississippi Regional Housing Authority said, “We have had about three or four health fairs this year. We saw the urgency of needing one more for the fall due to inflation and people not being able to afford doctors. So, we decided to do another health fair.”

The health fair will take place next Wednesday, October 19th at the Orange Grove Community Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
