Mississippi receives federal approve to expand broadband access
Mississippi has received federal approval for its plan to expand broadband access to parts of the state that still lack high speed internet.
This falls under the Department of Commerce’s Broadband Equity, Access, and Development Program.
The BEAM office will administer the program and oversee the implementation of broadband infrastructure through a partnership with 12 internet providers that service Mississippi.
The goal is to reach 93,000 unserved households through this program.
