Mississippi Power Storm Update

From Mississippi Power: As of 1:30 p.m., we have approximately 1,400 customers without electric service across our 23-county service territory.
The majority of those customers are in Harrison and Jackson counties.
The primary causes of the outages have been severe rain, lightning, high winds and tree limbs. Road flooding in the three coastal counties also caused delays to the restoration process.
Crews are now beginning to make their way into areas that experienced heavy flooding this morning.
We experienced a peak of about 4,600 customers without power at 9 a.m.
Along with our Gulf Coast crews, assistance was provided by more than 20 linemen and support personnel from the Hattiesburg area.
