Mississippi Power sends crews to Alabama for Hurricane Isaias Recovery Efforts
Mississippi Power is sending a 150-person storm team to Alabama to help restore power following Hurricane Isaias.
Crews and support personnel from across its service area, including the Coast, Hattiesburg, and Meridian, are heading to Alabama.
The deployment is part of a broader mutual aid effort to help communities recover from the storm. Mississippi Power Distribution Manager TJ Pruitt said, “Mississippi Power Storm Team of 150 is heading east to Alabama following the impacts from yesterday’s hurricane. We’re grateful our customers were largely spared from the weather and we’re happy to answer the call from our neighbors to help with the restoration efforts. Our focus today is traveling safely and then we’ll get to work as soon as we can to help those communities.”
