Mississippi Power prepared to respond to potential severe weather in the area

Mississippi Power’s storm center has been actively monitoring the potential for severe weather and is prepared to respond as the system moves through the service area.

Storm directors have met and the company has plans in place to meet customers’ needs before, during, and after the weather system. Mississippi Power has secured 80 outside resources to assist crews if needed including additional line crews and support personnel.

The storm team is also prepared to shift resources to the most impacted areas once the weather has moved through.
