Mississippi Power continues to restore power after tornado in Moss Point

Mississippi Power continues to restore power following yesterday’s tornado in Moss Point.
With more than 500 crew members and storm resources, Mississippi Power is working hard on a remaining 660 customers, as of 4:30 p.m., without service in Moss Point and Pascagoula.
The damage by yesterday’s tornado to the company’s electric infrastructure is extensive. 75 poles, 50 transformers and more than 8 miles of conductor all need to be replaced.
The storm team will stay on the job this evening with restoration expected to go into tomorrow.
