Mississippi National Guard soldiers honored in Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WXXV)- Two soldiers with the Mississippi National Guard were honored over the weekend.

Specialist Million Kelly took home ‘Soldier of the Year,’ while Staff Sgt. Christopher Arthur was named ‘NCO of the Year.’

They took home these honors for the 112th Military Police Battalion. Even State Representative Bubba Carpenter joined the duo in the nation’s capital for the honor.

The honor ceremony took place on Saturday. Their battalion shared that their hard work, integrity, and dedication stand out amongst their fellow soldiers.

The battalion ended by thanking both for setting an example and representing Army values.
