Mississippi Lottery generates $122M for state in FY23

The Mississippi Lottery Corporation sent more than $122 million to the state for the fiscal year of 2023 that ended June 30.

In June, the Lottery sent $9,155,366.85 to the state, generating $80 million for roads and bridges and another $42,375,631.22 for Education Enhancement.

Total gross sales for Fiscal Year 2023 exceeded $467 million.

In addition, the Mississippi Lottery announced that beginning September 10, the Mississippi Match 5 will become a daily game, joining Cash 3, Cash 4 and Cash Pop drawings.

“The popularity of Match 5 has skyrocketed since the record $905,000 jackpot was hit in February,” said Mississippi Lottery President Jeff Hewitt. “Mississippi Match 5’s great odds and ease of play consistently make it a player favorite. We’re simply responding to what players want – more Mississippi Match 5.”
