Mississippi kid wins national Smokey Bear and Woodsey Owl Poster Contest

One fourth grader from Mississippi is the national grand prize winner for the Smokey Bear and Woodsey Owl Poster Contest!

The winner is Aiden Finkelstein from Pearl.

The contest is open for any students in grades first through fifth.

Kids who enter demonstrate understanding of wildfire prevention and conservation principles through drawings.

Aiden attended the recognition ceremony in Washington, D.C. this past week, even meeting Smokey Bear!
