Mississippi joins settlement on inflated drug costs

Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch has joined a multistate settlement with generic drug manufacturer Glenmark over allegations the company helped inflate prescription drug prices for years.

The $29.6 million settlement resolves claims that Glenmark conspired to keep prices artificially high and limit competition.

Mississippi will receive nearly $237,000 as part of the agreement.

Nearly 43 other states joined on this settlement.

Consumes who purchased generic prescription drugs made by Glenmark, Lannett, Bausch, Apotex, or Heritage between May 2009 and December 2019 may be eligible for compensation. For more information visit aggenricdrugs.com.
