Mississippi Highway Patrol Fourth of July travel period begins
If you plan to be on our South Mississippi roads this holiday weekend, keep in mind that there will be an increase in state troopers on major interstates and highways.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol’s July 4th travel period kicked off Friday morning and runs through Sunday.
Troopers will be looking for safety violations as well as distracted and impaired driving.
Local law enforcement agencies across the Coast will also be out and about this weekend in big numbers for traffic enforcement.
