Mississippi Highway Patrol accepting applications for Cadet Class 67
Interested in joining the Mississippi Highway Patrol? Well, we might have some good news for you.
Mississippi Highway Patrol is now accepting applications for Cadet Class 67. The deadline is October 14th.
The class is scheduled to begin in late January 2023 and will last approximately 18 weeks with training conducted at the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy in Pearl, Mississippi. The starting salary out of academy is $50,000.
Trooper Cal Robertson says you do not have to have any background in law enforcement, just as long as you pass certain qualifications and are willing to help answer any other questions. “We will have open house job fair at Troop K’s Station on Highway 67 on September 24th and that’s going to go from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. So, if anyone has any questions or wants a job application, they can come by there, pick it up, and we can go through any questions they may have.”
