Mississippi Gulf Coast Casino Operators hold cornhole tournament benefiting American Heart Association
The Mississippi Gulf Coast Casino Operators came together to host a cornhole tournament at Treasure Bay Casino.
The event was held with the goal of raising over $25,000 for the American Heart Association.
Development Director Tiffany Alsbury said, “Today we’re out here at the Casino Corn Hole Tournament benefiting the American Heart Association. We rallied the troops of every casino on the Gulf Coast. They’re all coming together to do a corn hole benefit where every single dollar raised is staying in our community.”
Treasure Bay President Susan Varnes said, “I am on the executive leadership team for the Heart Walk this year. We put our brains together to figure how we can get the casino industry involved. All the casino operators went out for lunch and decided we’ll do a corn hole tournament. We have a very competitive group of people in the casino industry so I cannot wait to see this start.”
Harrah’s HR Business Partner Scottie Hebert said, “This is for the American Heart Association so the charities for them but we like to think the trophy is for us.”
The money raised at this event will also go towards the Gulf Coast Heart Walk on September 28th.
