Mississippi Department of Health reports 274 new COVID cases and 32 new deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 274 new COVID-19 cases and 32 new deaths including one new death in Harrison County and one new death in Jackson County.

The statewide total stands at 82,950 confirmed cases and 2,473 deaths.

Here are the numbers in our area:

• Hancock County has 495 cases and 20 deaths.
• Harrison County is at 3,300 cases and 57 deaths
• Jackson County has 3,005 cases and 60 deaths
• Stone County is at 316 cases and 10 deaths
• George County has 685 cases and 13 deaths
• Pearl River County has 751 cases and 48 deaths

An estimated 67,918 people have recovered from the virus.
