Mississippi Cities not Receiving Disaster Funds

Thousands of South Louisiana flood victims continue to apply for disaster assistance, but residents of two Mississippi communities have learned they are not eligible for assistance.
A MEMA spokesman tells the Natchez Democrat that the damage in Crosby and Centerville was not enough to meet the criteria for a federal declaration of a disaster.
MEMA and the state say they are working on alternative options to help Crosby residents in need.
