Mississippi awarded more than $771,000 in Abbott Infant Formula Settlement

Mississippi will receive more than $771,000 as part of a multi-state settlement with Abbott Laboratories.

Attorney General Lynn Fitch says the settlement resolves allegations that Abbott sold infant formula and nutritional products manufactured under conditions that failed to meet safety standards while those products were paid for through government health programs.

Abbott will pay more than $348 million nationwide to settle the federal and state claims.

The allegations involve products manufactured between 2018 and 2022.
