Mississippi Autism Screening Day

April is recognized as National Autism Awareness Month, an opportunity to inform those who aren’t familiar with the disorder about the complexity and challenges of day-to-day-life. It’s a complex disorder that can affect a person’s ability to speak and develop relationships. Autism is a lifelong condition found in the brain, usually during the early stages of life.
Today there are free autism screenings for children five and under. Those screenings will take place at Families First Resource Center on St. John Avenue in Biloxi from 3 to 7.
