Mississippi Attorney General’s Office continues fentanyl prevention efforts
Attorney Geneal Lynn Fitch’s office is working with a notable messaging and chat app to stop fentanyl money laundering in Mississippi and beyond.
The AG’s office is partnering with WeChat, which has been a platform for drug traffickers to move drugs and launder money in the past.
Through efforts by seven state AG’s offices across the country, the company will work with law enforcement to end criminal operations on the platform, preserve data in possible criminal cases, and work to add more safety tools to protect WeChat users moving forward.
