Mississippi Aquarium releasing two turtles

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Aquarium announces that two turtles are being released Thursday afternoon.

A Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle and a loggerhead turtle will be returning to the water in front of Edgewater Mall Thursday at 4.

This is the first loggerhead rehabilitated at the aquarium.

The Kemp’s Ridley is named Arches while the loggerhead is named Rhombus.

The public is invited to come out and view the release.

A tent and van will also be on site and crews will have facts about the turtles and answer any questions you might have.
