Mississippi Aquarium releasing nine rehabilitated turtles Thursday

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Aquarium is hosting a special event Thursday afternoon.

A turtle release is taking place on Biloxi Beach. A total of nine turtles have been rehabilitated after being cold stunned.

Guests are invited to attend the release across from Edgewater Mall Thursday at 4 p.m.

All nine turtles are named after national parks. A tent and van will be on location to share facts and answer any questions you might have.

The release is a great educational moment for people of all ages as well.
