Mississippi Aquarium releasing first batch of rehabbed Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtles for 2024
Mississippi Aquarium crew members will release 14 rehabilitated Kemp’s ridley sea turtles into the Mississippi Sound.
These turtles were part of a group that was cold-stunned and flown to Mississippi in December 2023.
Since the turtles’ arrival, animal care, facilities and veterinary teams have been working in concert to return the Kemp’s ridley turtles back to full health and into their natural habitat.
The turtle release will take place March 28th at 4 p.m. at the beach in front of Edgewater Mall in Biloxi.
The public is invited and encouraged to view the release.
