Mississippi Aquarium hosts ZZZ’s by the Seas sleepover

A wise crab once said ‘everything’s better under the sea’ and you can find out if that’s the truth at the Mississippi Aquarium’s ZZZ’s by the Sea.

The Mississippi Aquarium is offering children the opportunity to have a sleepover at the aquarium.

They’ll get to feed the sting rays and learn about the marine life around them. Kids will also participate in team-building games and s’more roasting.

At night, they’ll lie down under the blue glow of the sea.

Manager of Education Elizabeth Whigham told News 25 that this is great for kids who have an interest in animals. “So, it’s a very unique experience. Not only that, but you get a lot of one-on-one time with our animal care team. So, if your kids are interested in becoming a zookeeper or aquarist when they get older, this is a great time in order to kind of explore those jobs and what those duties are.”

Mississippi Aquarium is hoping to host another sleepover soon.
