Mississippi Aquarium hosts turtle release

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)-Mississippi Aquarium hosted their turtle release Thursday afternoon on Biloxi Beach.

The community came out to see eight turtles, all named after Taylor Swifts songs, released into the Mississippi Sound.

Aquarium staff was on hand to answer any questions and provide information.

These turtles came to the Gulf Coast by way of an aquarium in New England. The eight turtles were cold stunned and rehabilitated back to health.
