Mississippi Aquarium hosts special penguin Easter Egg hunt

GULFPORT, Miss. – This year, Mississippi Aquarium is trading in their Easter bunny eggs for special penguin eggs!
Throughout the day on Saturday, March 30th, Mississippi Aquarium guests will be able to join in on the fun of a FREE special penguin Easter egg hunt on the west lawn. Eggs will be filled with candy. One golden penguin egg will be hidden on campus and the finder will win two annual passes!
Egg hunts will be separated by age groups and Mississippi Aquarium Annual Passholders are invited to participate in exclusive Easter egg hunts from 9:15am-10:15am. The general admission egg hunt will begin at 10:45am. The aquarium’s photo team will also be taking professional photos with the Easter bunny in the Event Tent throughout the day. This event is made possible thanks to Visit Mississippi and the City of Gulfport.
“2024 is the Year of the Penguin at Mississippi Aquarium as we work to raise money to build our colony of African Penguins a permanent on campus home. This penguin Easter egg hunt is a great way for families to learn more about this species and have a little springtime fun,” said Patrick Pearson, Vice President of Marketing for Mississippi Aquarium.
Reservations are not required but advanced general admission ticket purchases are recommended for the best possible price. There will be egg hunts every 30 minutes until 4:15 p.m. This is just one of the many family-friendly events and offerings happening at Mississippi Aquarium.
