Mississippi Aquarium hosts ‘A Dam Good Festival’ – a celebration of their north American beavers and Mississippi music

A Dam Good Festival

Elvis, B.B. and King, are names Mississippi Aquarium visitors are very familiar with. Not only are they Mississippi music legends, but they are also the names of the three North American Beavers that call the aquarium home.

Mississippi Aquarium invites everyone to join in as they celebrate the beavers and their namesake’s contribution to music. The festival will offer themed food and beverage, rocking performances by local artists, kids’ crafts, a costume contest, photo spots, and more!

The festival takes place April 6th and 7th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Aquarium.

Mississippi Native and living Blues legend, Jamell Richardson, will mesmerize crowds with his performances on Saturday and Sunday. Eugene Eash will grace the stage on Sunday as Elvis.

Visitors can expect other spectacular local acts throughout the weekend including Armani Smith, Ty Taylor, and Joe Carrubba.

Delicious food specials will be available throughout the weekend including a BBQ Chicken Plate, Fried Catfish Plate, and a Peanut Butter and Banana Pudding Cup. Mississippi made beers will also be available for purchase.

This event is thanks in part to generous sponsorship from Coastal Mississippi and SuperTalk Mississippi.

Reservations are not required but advanced general admission ticket purchases are recommended for the best possible price.
