Mississippi Aquarium hosting beach cleanup

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- A beach clean up is happening in Gulfport this weekend.

Mississippi Aquarium staff will be at Jones Park on Saturday, November 22 at 8 a.m.

Staff will help distribute supplies. All you have to do is show up, but bring sun protection, close-toed shoes, and a refillable water bottle.

Aquarium staff say the last cleanup helped to remove more than 100 pounds of trash from the beach.

The entire session is expected to last for two hours.
