Mississippi Aquarium helps turtles in need
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Aquarium spent last weekend helping turtles in Alabama.
Three turtles were found with serious injuries.
The crew went into action and the turtles were sent to the aquarium for rest and rehabilitation. Staff share the names of these new patients: Polygon, Rhombus, and Trapezoid.
These three are loggerhead sea turtles. Aquarium staff says it has been an amazing effort by all involved.
