Mississippi Aquarium collecting Mardi Gras beads

The Mississippi Aquarium is collecting Mardi Gras beads.

Other organizations such as Gulfport Main Street, The Hard Rock, and Keesler will be collecting beads through March 31.

Bins for donation can be found on the ticketing plaza at the aquarium, but beads can also be dropped off at the MSAQ security offices on 22nd Avenue.

The donated beads will be given to the Arc of Greater New Orleans, an organization that gives those with disabilities a job to package and resell the throws to local Mardi Gras krewes.
