Missing Hinds County girl found dead in Alabama

Janae McGill, reported missing on September 21, has been found dead.

Janae’s body was found close to where her mother, Shardee, was discovered.

The cause of death is unknown at this time, pending an autopsy.

This is an ongoing investigation between local, state, and federal partners in Mississippi and Alabama.
