Miss Biloxi wins Talent Award at Miss Mississippi Competition
Two students from the University of Southern Mississippi took top honors in the second preliminary competition at the Miss Mississippi Pageant in Vicksburg.
Miss Biloxi Katelyn Perry won the talent award and the evening gown award went to Miss Rankin County Madison Delancey.
The preliminary competition continues tonight.
A winner will be chosen tomorrow and will go on to represent the state at Miss America. Perry said, “It is such an honor to be standing in this position. Our group that competed in talent tonight was absolutely incredible. I didn’t do great during my talent rehearsal this morning cause I’ve just been very sick. So, I wasn’t sure what tonight was going to hold. But I just walked out here with peace that whatever was going to happen was gonna happen.”
