Miss Biloxi Katelyn Perry discusses Miss Mississippi experience

A South Mississippi woman has left her mark on the Miss Mississippi competition.

Katelyn Perry competed in the Miss Mississippi pageant on June 10th in Vicksburg, representing Biloxi.

She received a preliminary talent award and placed as first alternate for the quality-of-life award. On finals night, she placed in the top 11.

With pageant season over for the year, Katelyn said she’s already looking ahead to next year. “I’m ready to just, you know, get back in the swing of things. I have a very busy summer coming up. So, I’m going to be doing a lot of traveling and then pageant season starts back up in the fall. I haven’t made decisions about what I want to do, but I have two more years left to compete.”

Katelyn said she plans to continue to work towards the Miss Mississippi title.
