Misdemeanor shoplifting and felony eluding

Biloxi police arrested a man after shoplifting from a Wal-Mart led to a high speed chase down Highway 90.
Twenty-six year-old Michael Mateo of Pauley’s Island, South Carolina was charged today with misdemeanor shoplifting and felony eluding after being treated at an area medical facility for minor injuries after being taken into custody Saturday afternoon.
His bond for felony eluding was set at $25,000 after being transported to the Harrison County Jail.
