Mike Espy has won the Mississippi Democratic U.S. Senate Primary

Mike Espy wins Democratic Senate primary in Mississippi. He defeated Tobey Bernard Bartee and Jensen Bohren.

Espy is a former congressman and served as U.S. Agriculture Secretary in the mid-1990s when Bill Clinton was president.

Incumbent Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith does not face a primary challenger so she will face Espy in the November General Election.
