MHSAA and MAC adding Mr. and Miss Basketball awards

Big time news on the hardwood, the Mississippi High School Activities Association and the Mississippi Association of Coaches are teaming up with C-Spire to create the Mr. and Miss Basketball Awards for the Magnolia State.

There will be 12 winners total, one from each classification for both boys and girls and then 14 total starting next year upon the addition of Class 7A.

Those winners will be announced for the first-time next month prior to the quarterfinal round of the playoffs and will be recognized in March.
