MHP kicking off 2025 Labor Day Holiday Travel Period
Mississippi Highway Patrol announced their Labor Day Holiday Travel enforcement period starts Friday, August 29.
From 6 a.m. Friday until Monday at midnight, more patrols and checkpoints will be seen across the Coast and the state of Mississippi as a whole.
The goal is to prevent speeding and impaired driving and enforcing seatbelt usage.
During the Labor Day Holiday Travel Period in 2024, there were 155 crashes across the state with seven of those crashes involving fatalities.
