UPDATE: Mandeville man dies in two-vehicle crash in Hancock County

A Mandeville, Louisiana, man died in a late-night crash on Highway 607 in Hancock County.

A Volkswagen driven by 38-year-old Sarah Saunders of Pearl River, Louisiana, was traveling southbound
on Highway 607 when it collided with a Chevrolet truck driven by 42-year-old Benjamin
Harrison, of Mandeville, who was traveling northbound in the southbound lane on Highway 607.

Harrison received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway was re-opened about 2 a.m.

 

On Saturday, July 27, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a
fatal crash on Highway 607 in Hancock County.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
