MHP investigates fatal crash in Pearl River County
PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Pearl River County.
According to MHP, 54-year-old Cedric Byrd of Picayune, MS was walking south on Highway 43 around 5:30 on Friday morning when he was struck by a Chevrolet Equinox. Byrd was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
MHP identified the driver as 51-year-old Deborah Lemoine of Carriere, MS.
This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
