MGCCC’s Daphane White tabbed as NJCAA All-American

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has a women’s basketball All American in the form of St. Martin alum Daphane White.

The former Mississippi State signee was named to the second team on Tuesday as the only player from the MACJC to earn national recognition on one of the first three teams.

During her sophomore season, White averaged more than 15 points and 11 rebounds per game while leading her Lady Bulldogs to the Region 23 Tournament semi-finals.

White is just the eighth Gulf Coast player in school history to be named an All-American and the first since 2013.
