MGCCC students explore job opportunities with Dole

Students were going bananas at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for Dole Fresh Fruit Company’s career recruitment day.

In honor of National Banana Day, Dole was giving out free bananas along with other goodies and talking to students about the various careers available within the company.

Dole is providing job opportunities nationwide in transportation logistics, sales and finance, and more.

Dole’s recruitment career day is a part of their initiative to promote healthy living.

Student Activities Coordinator Aalyiah Dock was thrilled to be hosting Dole’s recruiting day. “This is a new event that we have here at Harrison County and we’re super excited for it and hopefully they can come back next year for National Banana Day. I’m super excited that they’re here and we can’t wait to see how it’s going to impact our students.”

Dole Fresh Fruit Company has been at the Port of Gulfport for over 58 years now and they are looking forward to their future in Gulfport.
