MGCCC Starts Classes This Week

School is back in session for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College students across the Coast.
Students moved into their on-campus housing last week and started classes this week on the Perkinston campus.
Returning students were met with finished and continuing renovations. The campus’ new athletic facility will not only benefit athletes, all students will also attend classes in the building.
As freshmen fill desks across campus, it’s the school’s graduates who are encouraging prospective students to become Bulldogs. Freshman Antione Adams said, “Actually, I had gotten my CNA and a friend came here and he said they had a great nursing program and he went here two years then left for Mississippi State. So, I decided to follow in his footsteps and do the same thing.”
Executive VP of Enrollment Management and Student Success Carmen Walters said, “Students come back to us because we really are their first choice. We’re cheaper than all the institutions in our region. We have the best faculty. They focus on teaching. That’s their mission and we also have the best facilities.”
For all you MGCCC football fans, the Bulldogs’ home opener will be September 8th.
