MGCCC linebacker Navonteque Strong decommits from Mississippi State

On the eve of the early National Signing Day period, Mississippi State could be missing out on the number one junior college linebacker in the entire country according to 24/7 Sports.

This afternoon, Mississippi Gulf Coast sophomore Navonteque Strong announced his decision to decommit from MSU where he’s been tied to since June.

Things got a little complicated when Strong got an offer from LSU in late November and it appears as if Baton Rouge could be the final landing spot for the three-star recruit.

In 2020, the one they call Bug led the Bulldogs in tackles, tackles for loss, sacks, and force fumbles en route to a second straight MACCC state title game bid.

In 2019, Strong was a part of MGCCC’s national championship team just about a month before LSU won its national title.
